Licensed clinicians from Bridges organization provide services 24/7 on-site in Orange or at Bridges’ central location in Milford for adults, children, families with emotional, developmental,
psychiatric concerns.

Health Department: Medical Division
Department organized into two basic service areas: Environmental Health Division and Medical Division. Orange Visiting Nurses Association carries out functions of Medical Division.

Functions of Medical Division: make information and speakers on health available • perform blood-pressure screenings (call for details) • offer flu vaccinations in fall and pneumonia
vaccinations year-round • for homebound residents provide: skilled nursing care; physical, occupational, speech therapy; medical social services; home health aides.

Municipal Agent/Outreach Worker Denise Stein at the Community Services Department (call 203-891-4787) can assist with the Food Bank and Fuel Assistance Programs of that Department. The Health Department Medical Division (203-891-4752) and Orange Family Counseling
(203-878-6365) can provide information on other supportive services to families and caregivers.
Transportation Services
Town provides specially equipped vans to transport seniors and disabled to and from Senior Center and
medical appointments. 48-hrs. notice required. Donation requested.

Tax Relief
Assessor’s Office in Town Hall administers various state and local tax exemption programs for blind, disabled, elderly, veterans. 203-891-4723.
