Youth Services
Town of Orange Youth Services offers a wide variety of programs and events, including but not limited to: Intergenerational Tutoring, Living History Club, Job Bank, dances and socialization events for 7th and 8th graders, K-8 Art Exhibit, Artists Colony, Home Alone and Babysitting Classes, Super Raffle Bingo for incoming 7th graders, volunteer opportunities for high school students, Juvenile Review Board, Youth Services Advisory Board.

Orange Family Counseling

Licensed clinicians from Bridges organization provide services 24/7 on-site in Orange or at Bridges’ central location in Milford for adults, children, families with emotional, developmental, psychiatric problems.

Services include: diagnosis/evaluation/treatment • marital and individual counseling • group therapy • stress counseling • medication • intensive outpatient program • crisis intervention, including mobile crisis service.

Health Department: Medical Division

Department organized into two basic service areas: Environmental Health Division and Medical Division. Orange Visiting Nurses Association carries out functions of Medical Division.

Functions of Medical Division: make information and speakers on health available • conduct school health programs • perform blood-pressure screenings (call for details) • offer flu vaccinations in fall and pneumonia vaccinations year-round • for homebound residents provide: skilled nursing care; physical, occupational, speech therapy; medical social services;home health aides.

Transportation Services
Town provides specially equipped vans to transport seniors and disabled to and from Senior Center and 
medical appointments. 24-48-hrs. notice required. Donation requested. Call: 203-891-4788.

Tax Relief and Similar Programs

Assessor’s Office in Town Hall administers various state and local tax exemption programs for blind, disabled, elderly, veterans.
